April 25th, 1953 became a significant date in the history of research when the official paper on the structure of DNA was published. The publication was made by Dr. James Watson and Dr. Francis Crick in the Journal Nature.

Another huge milestone was achieved on the same day in 2003, when the Human Genome Project was completed. The aim of the world’s largest collaborative biological project was to sequence all DNA found in human cells.

Organized by National Human Genome Research Institute, this day commemorates these two important achievements, and it is yearly celebrated as the DNA day all over the world.

Being a part of the research industry, we are excited to see the new discoveries that the future holds for us!
