May is Healthy Vision Month, a time to promote the importance of eye health and vision. As a Contract Research Organization, working with a lot of documentation, we can’t underestimate the important role clear vision plays in our daily lives and work.
Proper eye care is essential to maintaining good vision and preventing many types of eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma and others. Especially to take care of the condition of the eyes need those who have close relatives had problems with vision. For example, myopia is inherited in half of cases, if both parents had it. The main measure to prevent vision deterioration is a timely visit to the doctor. It is not unreasonable to have a routine checkup, especially if you have doubts about the health of your eyes. In addition to an annual eye exam, there are some simple actions you can take to preserve your vision, such as wearing sunglasses, eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables to keep your eyes healthy, and taking your eyes off screens to reduce eye strain.
Healthy Vision Month aims to raise awareness among the public, governments and medical organizations and stimulates the development of new methods for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. The GCT team has conducted numerous clinical studies in this area. We have a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of ophthalmic research, and our experience allows us to provide high quality services.
Notably, this month, GCT sponsored #ARVO2024 conference in Seattle which brought together leading ophthalmologists, Investigators and AI experts from dozens of countries, to share latest experience for the common aim of facilitating research.
